4 Methods for Preventing Premature Ejaculation

Dealing with premature ejaculation can be embarrassing for men, but isn’t something you need to suffer with. Here are a few techniques that you can use with your partner and on your own in order to prevent premature ejaculation:

Pelvic Floor Exercises – Kegels aren’t just for the ladies. Your pelvic floor muscles play a big role in bladder control and sexual performance. In men, these muscles weaken with age – which could be the reason you are experiencing PE. Practicing pelvic floor exercises on a regular basis can give you more control so that you can delay ejaculation.

Pause-Start – This method involves stopping movement during intercourse until the feeling that you are about to ejaculate passes, and then resuming. While you are paused, engage your pelvic floor muscles like you do when you are completing your pelvic floor exercises to make this method more effective.

Squeezing – For this method you will need a very cooperative and understanding partner, since it involves interrupting intercourse. When you feel the need to ejaculate, withdraw and squeeze the head of your penis until the feeling passes, and then resume intercourse.

What to Do When These Methods Are Not Enough – When these tried and true methods for preventing premature ejaculation are not enough, medical intervention may be needed.
